Abstract

En los enfermos renales crónicos en tratamiento renal sustitutivo (TRS) la depresión es un problema psicológico frecuente que afecta la calidad de vida y el curso de la enfermedad. Los objetivos de esta investigación son determinar la prevalencia de la depresión en la población española de pacientes renales en hemodiálisis, diálisis domiciliaria y trasplante; establecer el rendimiento diagnóstico de los cuestionarios Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), Beck Depression Inventory-FastScreen (BDI-FS) y la subescala de depresión de la Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS-D) para el cribado de la depresión en cada una de las modalidades de TRS e identificar los factores asociados a la depresión evaluada mediante entrevista clínica y a la sospecha de depresión evaluada con los cuestionarios BDI-II, BDI-FS y HADS-D.
