Apoyo social percibido, autorregulación motivacional y rendimiento académico en adolescentes

Abstract

La adolescencia es un periodo transicional durante el cual tienen lugar importantes cambios en el individuo y su contexto. Afrontar con éxito estos cambios es esencial para el bienestar y progreso académico de los/as adolescentes; sin embargo, a menudo encuentran dificultades, como así lo indican las elevadas cifras de fracaso y abandono escolar. La capacidad para autorregular el aprendizaje se considera una condición favorecedora para soslayar las citadas dificultades. En particular, los modelos más recientes de aprendizaje autorregulado (AAR) llaman la atención sobre la relevancia de la autorregulación de la motivación académica. Por otra parte, el apoyo social se ha propuesto como condicionante principal de las inclinaciones de los individuos a la hora de regular su motivación y, por extensión, su cognición ante las tareas de aprendizaje.
