El rol de la resiliencia como factor protector del TEPT

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este trabajo fue realizar una revisión sistemática, siguiendo los criterios de la declaración PRISMA, sobre el rol de la resiliencia en el desarrollo del TEPT, en individuos expuestos a eventos traumáticos. Se realizó una búsqueda exhaustiva de estudios publicados entre los años 2014 y 2024 en las bases de datos PubMed, PsychInfo y Scopus, de los cuales se seleccionaron 19 estudios, siendo evaluada su calidad metodológica. Se encontró una amplia diversidad en la prevalencia del TEPT, los tipos de eventos traumáticos y en las puntuaciones de resiliencia. Además, se identificó una relación negativa significativa entre la resiliencia y el TEPT, destacando el papel protector de la resiliencia. A pesar de un riesgo alto de sesgo en cuatro estudios, la calidad metodológica general de los estudios fue buena. Se destaca la necesidad de investigaciones adicionales para comprender la influencia de múltiples factores en la prevalencia del TEPT, y de diseñar y aplicar programas para fomentar la resiliencia, especialmente en las profesiones con mayor riesgo. De hecho, se propone una intervención destinada a fortalecer la resiliencia y atenuar los efectos negativos del TEPT en individuos expuestos a eventos traumáticos
