Comportamiento de los tejidos óseo y mucoso perimplantarios con la utilización de un sistema de implantes dentales de plataforma estrecha. Un año de seguimiento

Abstract

Se asignaron un total de 43 pacientes en dos grupos: grupo control con implantes convencionales y grupo test con implantes de plataforma estrecha. Se procedió a medir los siguientes parámetros: medición del nivel óseo y medición de los tejidos blandos. Se utilizaron dos métodos radiográficos: método convencional y la técnica modificada. Resultados: 1)nivel óseo: la pérdida de tejido óseo con plataforma estrecha mejora los resultados obtenidos con plataforma convencional, 2)tejidos blandos: medición de la distancia desde el tope de la papila al punto de contacto, la diferencia entre ambas fue -0,36 mm, 3)medición de la longitud ápico-coronal de la corona: no se encontraron diferencias entre las dos mediciones. La precisión fue muy elevada para ambos métodos. Con la plataforma estrecha, la reabsorción ósea marginal es reducida y el soporte de los tejidos blandos se puede mejorar.
