Abstract

En los últimos años se han realizado grandes avances en el campo de la nanotecnología, el desarrollo de materiales nanométricos con novedosas propiedades ha sido el objetivo de muchos grupos de investigación.1 El Prof. Ghadiri y colaboradores descubrieron los nanotubos peptídicos formados mediante el autoensamblaje de D,L-α-ciclopéptidos, estos compuestos demostraron tener múltiples aplicaciones en los campos de la biotecnología, y la nanotecnología.2 En esta tesis doctoral se estudia una nueva familia de nanotubos peptídicos formados mediante el autoensamblaje molecular de α,γ- ciclopéptidos. Esto se realizó mediante varios proyectos diferentes: en el primero de ellos se estudió la capacidad de dimerización para ciclopéptidos en los que se alternaban γ-aminoácidos y α-aminoácidos-α,α-disustituidos. El segundo era demostrar la formación de nanotubos mediante el autoensamblaje molecular de los α,γ-ciclopéptidos, esta nueva familia de compuestos fue caracterizada mediante difracción de Rayos-X, FT-IR, TEM, AFM y STM.
