Producción de algas unicelulares y bioestimulación en lechuga

Abstract

El objetivo de esta tesis es optimizar un fotobiorreactor de crecimiento microalgal con el fin de escalarlo para su uso industrial, así como la aplicación de las microalgas para el cultivo de la lechuga. Para la optimización del fotobiorreactor se diseñó un sistema modular y funcional ubicado en una infraestructura tipo invernadero adaptado a las condiciones de Ecuador. Se analizaron distintos materiales textiles de la lámina del cultivo, tiempo de encendido/apagado del sistema, dosis de CO2 y nutrientes del medio de cultivo. Se puede concluir que el sistema funciona de forma óptima mediante el encendido continuo del mismo, y una lámina de material tipo tela polar fabricada 100% poliéster y una dosis de 100 mg kg-1 de N en el medio y una variación posible de la dosis de CO2 que no afecta al crecimiento y permite un desarrollo adecuado de las algas. El sistema diseñado produce microalgas que adicionadas a un sistema de cultivo hidropónico incrementan la producción de lechuga.
