Abstract

Cultura, civilización y educación son tres conceptos relacionados que la Pedagogía debe considerar desde una propuesta de visión integrada, pues, según la perspectiva conceptual, en el pensamiento contemporáneo no existe ninguna razón que obligue a abandonar alguna de las tendencias y tradiciones de pensamiento que configuran la creación cultural desde sus ejes matriciales como creación cultural artística, cultural socioidentitaria, cultural científico-tecnológica o cultural popular y de consumo. En referencia a los conceptos de cultura y civilización, el concepto de educación se presenta como una herramienta cultural que sirve para formar a las personas para que puedan contribuir a dominar y a mejorar el progreso material y espiritual del individuo y de la sociedad. Educación y cultura son dos creaciones humanas interdependientes, con especial significación para la formación de los especialistas, pues cuando la educación se convierte en tarea de todos, de lo que estamos hablando es de un cambio cultural que tiene que ser gestionado con acierto y profesionalidad. En este nuevo siglo la gestión del cambio cultural reclama a los profesionales la racionalización de la oferta, atendiendo a condiciones básicas de idoneidad socio-cultural, oportunidad organizativa y coherencia ideológica institucional. Es una cuestión de política estratégica que va más allá de una mera estrategia política y que implica especialmente, al Tercer Sector (sociedad civil) en el desarrollo educativo de un mundo globalizado.
