El factor de impacto y el futuro de las revistas académicas. El riesgo de patologización

Abstract

Las revistas académicas son uno de los recursos para la diseminación del conocimiento científico, en los últimos años ha habido grandes cambios en cuanto a edición, valoración y jerarquización del mérito de las revistas. Esto se lleva a cabo a través de la política del factor de impacto. El objetivo del presente trabajo no es otro que el de realizar una reflexión crítica acerca del futuro de las revistas académicas. Nuestra reflexión se centra en la ‘patología organizacional’ de la lucha por el factor de impacto como “mercancía” rentable. También se efectúan una serie de consideraciones acerca de la patología en la conducta de búsqueda de información para realizar toda suerte de publicaciones. La conclusión es que las publicaciones con factor de impacto tienen un futuro muy prometedor siempre que se produzcan cambios en la gestión de su dinámica científica.
