De mirón en las mojigangas hacia una relectura de Fin de un revolucionario de Ramón del Valle-Inclán

Abstract

Este artículo pretende una relectura política e ideológica de la novela corta de Ramón del Valle-Inclán Fin de un revolucionario. Aleluyas de la Gloriosa. Publicada en la colección popular Los novelistas en 1928, su segunda parte titulada “Vísperas de Alcolea”, en la que se narra el fusilamiento de Benjamín Fernández Vallín el 25 de septiembre de 1868, no fue recogida posteriormente en ningún volumen de El Ruedo Ibérico y no ha recibido especial atención por parte de la crítica. Partiendo de la selección y manipulación de las fuentes históricas que el escritor realizó para construir su relato, se analiza la peculiar estructura de la novela corta en su relación con el género de la aleluya, las técnicas narrativas de la misma encuadradas en la modalidad literaria del esperpento, con especial atención a la caracterización del personaje protagonista, y la implicación del narrador en el relato cuya interpretación desmitificadora y antiheroica de los acontecimientos históricos pre-revolucionarios se filtra en la narración. De esta forma Fin de un revolucionario se revela como un instrumento de indudable eficacia para acercarnos al mensaje político de la serie ibérica y a la visión de la historia de España como trágica mojiganga que Ramón del Valle-Inclán plasma en sus novelas históricas de los años veinte Proyecto de Investigación FFI2015- 63673-P financiado por el Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad SI
