Abstract

Una de las dificultades más comunes en la dislexia es la falta de fluidez lectora. Esta dificultad consiste en leer un texto con mucho esfuerzo, empleando excesivo tiempo y sin la expresión adecuada. El objetivo de este estudio fue comprobar la eficacia de un programa de intervención para mejorar la fluidez lectora de escolares disléxicos a través de la estrategia del teatro de lectores. Esta estrategia de lectura repetida proporciona un sentido a la repetición de textos, facilita la lectura expresiva y favorece la confianza y la motivación hacia la lectura. Se utilizó una combinación del diseño preexperimental-pretest postest-multigrupo y del estudio de casos múltiple de corte cualitativo. La muestra estuvo formada por 11 estudiantes de tercero y cuarto curso de primaria con una dificultad en el lenguaje escrito, divididos en dos grupos en función del centro al que pertenecían. La fluidez (exactitud, automatización y prosodia) fue evaluada a través de la lectura de textos teatrales, la prueba Fundar y una escala de apreciación de la prosodia. Los resultados indican que los niños mejoraron significativamente en automatización y prosodia, pero no en exactitud lectora. Asimismo, se observó que el programa fue igual de efectivo para ambos grupos y que las mejoras se transfirieron a textos teatrales y descriptivos-informativos no leídos previamente.
