Abstract

Esta Tesis muestra que es posible añadir nuevas características a materiales convencionales como las resinas epoxi mediante la utilización de puentes de unión (comúnmente denominados agentes entrecruzantes) específicos. Para ello, se utilizan agentes portadores de macrociclos (derivados de la porfirina, éteres corona y tetraazociclodecano) que complejan fuertemente diversos iones metálicos, lo que permite modificar la capacidad dieléctrica de las resinas, además de sus propiedades térmicas y mecánicas.Por ejemplo, las resinas modificadas de esta manera con hemina (portadora de un ion hierro) y porfirina de Zinc poseen la capacidad para orientarse en presencia de un campo magnético fuerte, en ausencia de rozamiento como, por ejemplo, sobre la superficie del agua. Debido a la importancia de las resinas epoxi en diversos campos de la industria,las expectativas de futuras aplicaciones industriales son amplias.
