Estructura cristalina y propiedades coloidales de ácidos biliares modificados

Abstract

Las sales biliares son compuestos con notoria relevancia en la naturaleza. Dado su carácter anfífilo actúan como surfactantes por lo que tienen múltiples aplicaciones en diferentes campos. En este trabajo se muestra la obtención de nuevos derivados de las mismas destacando los oligómeros obtenidos por la unión (vía enlaces amida) de dos a cuatro residuos biliares a diversas moléculas puente bi-, tri- o tetra-dentadas. Los nuevos derivados se comportan como surfactantes habiéndose determinado los parámetros característicos asociados a este comportamiento como, por ejemplo, la concentración de agregación crítica y el área molecular en la interfase aire/agua. Mediante estudios de dispersión de luz y diversas microscopias se han determinado la geometría y el tamaño de los agregados formados, así como su evolución con el tiempo. Se han observado estructuras micelares, agregados globulares, pseudo-vesículas y fibras, así como la formación de geles y precipitados coloidales originados por la condensación de partículas de menor tamaño. Asimismo, se han resuelto diversos cristales de los nuevos esteroides.
