Abstract

Trabajo Fin de Máster Universitario en Urgencias y Emergencias Pediátricas (2017/18). Tutora: María Teresa Charlo Molina. Introducción: El escroto agudo representa el 0’5% de las consultas en los servicios de Urgencias Pediátricas. De entre todos los casos, tan sólo un 10% presentan una torsión testicular. A pesar de lo infrecuente de esta entidad, es importante realizar un adecuado diagnóstico diferencial precoz, pues el error diagnóstico puede conllevar la pérdida de viabilidad de la gónada. Objetivos:  Determinar los signos clínicos más específicos de la torsión testicular.  Determinar en qué casos va a ser útil realizar una ecografía Doppler, y cuándo se podría prescindir de ella.  Realizar un score y un protocolo de actuación ante las consultas por escroto agudo. Metodología: Estudio observacional descriptivo prospectivo en el servicio de Urgencias del Hospital Regional Universitario de Málaga, recogiendo todos los casos de consulta en Urgencias por escroto agudo durante tres años naturales (2019 - 2021). Se registrarán las principales variables epidemiológicas, clínicas, resultados de pruebas complementarias y tratamiento realizado; y se compararán entre las distintas entidades diagnósticas. Con los resultados, se elaborará un protocolo de actuación ante el escroto agudo.
