Hacia una comunidad prevenida ante el peligro de incendio urbano-forestal (Esquel - Chubut - Argentina)

Abstract

Trabajo fin de Máster dirigido por Armando González Cabá y asesor Fernando E. Epele. Para lograr una comunidad prevenida ante el peligro de incendio urbano-forestal se reevaluó el peligro en el barrio Estación frente a incendios de interfase de las viviendas relevadas con tal fin en el año 2004, utilizando los mismos criterios de caracterización. Se relevó además el comportamiento de los vecinos del barrio frente al fuego, utilizando el método de entrevistas de encuesta individual directa. Resultó que las viviendas redujeron su peligro individual en un 74% de los casos. Sin embargo, los encuestados no expresaron haberlo hecho con el propósito específico de mejorar su situación frente a los incendios de interfase, sino como mejoras para sobrellevar las duras condiciones climáticas de la zona. Para concluir se aclara que una comunidad prevenida necesita de la participación y coordinación de los todos los sectores involucrados.
