Abstract

Trabajo fin de Máster dirigido por Carmen Jambrino. La provincia Sara se encuentra ubicada a 72 kilómetros de la ciudad de Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Su capital es Portachuelo, Municipio donde será desarrollada esta investigación. La actividad turística está dando sus primeros pasos con algunos proyectos que se quieren realizar a largo plazo y otros con mayor urgencia en un corto tiempo, como ser complejos hoteleros, promoción turística, implementación y mejoramiento de la infraestructura, entre otros. Es una zona altamente productora de arroz, hidrocarburos, madera, soya, yuca (mandioca) miel, maíz y caña de azúcar. Otra actividad económica en la provincia es la crianza de vacunos, porcinos, aves y abejas. Estos productos son comercializados a mercados de todo el país. Una de las actividades mejor desarrolladas en el Municipio de Portachuelo es la producción gastronómica artesanal: horneados blandos, abizcochados, dulces, mermeladas y salchichas, alimentos derivados de los productos mencionados anteriormente. El marketing turístico se convierte en una actividad importante e indispensable para la distribución y promoción de productos o servicios. Primeramente se debe definir qué es lo que se quiere distribuir y luego plantear estrategias acordes a la actividad o actividades que se desea promocionar. De esta manera surgió la idea de realizar un plan de marketing para lograr incrementar las ventas y que sus productos sean conocidos en la ciudad de Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
