Abstract

El objetivo que se pretende en este proyecto fin de carrera, es estudiar el comportamiento de intercambiadores de calor de placas esmaltadas empaquetadas al ser sometidas a atmósferas sulfurosas. La información existente sobre el acero esmaltado, y posterior empaquetado, es bastante escasa. Son muy pocas las empresas que se dedican a dicha manufactura y guardan celosamente las diferentes técnicas que han sido elaboradas a lo largo de los años. No hay un método constructivo de estos sofisticados procesos de intercambio de calor. Solo la experiencia en la manufactura de estos equipos define y optimiza las variables de diseño. Debido a la escasa y dispersa información referente a este tipo de construcciones, hemos considerado que sería interesante estudiar toda la información posible, para poder clasificar los tipos de acero a emplear. La escasa información de que se dispone, obliga a realizar ensayos de laboratorio con los diferentes materiales y estudiar su comportamiento en los múltiples ensayos realizados. A la hora de la selección, habrá que tener en cuenta, la problemática de nuestro sistema. Las exigencias que tienen los sistemas de intercambio térmico en condiciones corrosivas en atmósferas sulfurosas. También será de nuestro estudio el tipo de frita y su comportamiento elástico metal-esmalte a partir de una temperatura determinada. La finalidad del proyecto, sobre elementos constructivos; es realizar un seguimiento del comportamiento de las placas esmaltadas en diferentes condiciones sulfurosas, y un plan de mejoras frente a los diferentes defectos que se van presentando.
