Biodiversidad fúngica y funcional en suelos de trigo a lo largo de Europa: interrelación con factores climáticos, edáficos y de manejo del suelo.

Abstract

La agricultura convencional viene asociada al uso de insumos externos como fertilizantes inorgánicos y pesticidas que han conducido a la degradación de los sistemas agrarios, pérdida de biodiversidad, contaminación de suelos y aguas, e incremento de resistencia a pesticidas. La agricultura ecológica surge como solución para producir alimentos reduciendo los impactos ambientales negativos. Es necesario por tanto confirmar si el cambio al manejo ecológico de la agricultura mejora la biodiversidad de los suelos desde el punto de vista genético y funcional, y si este cambio es general en diferentes zonas climáticas, o son los factores climáticos y edáficos quienes determinan con mayor intensidad los cambios en la biodiversidad edáfica. Para ello se van a seleccionar cuatro regiones pedoclimáticas europeas donde se llevará a cabo un muestreo de suelo en fincas de cultivo de trigo con manejo convencional y ecológico. Se llevarán a cabo diferentes análisis físicos y químicos y un estudio metagenómico con secuenciación de ADN y qPCR para determinar la biodiversidad fúngica y funcional relacionada con los ciclos del carbono y del nitrógeno.
