[ESP] El primer Plan Urbanístico de Murcia se desarrolló bajo el doble objetivo de dar solución al problema de la disposición y alineación de las nuevas edificaciones y resolver el problema de la evacuación aguas sucias que, junto con otras causas, estaba originando altísimas tasas de mortalidad en la población. El proyecto fue redactado en 1896 por el ingeniero y arquitecto Pedro García Faria bajo premisas higienistas. Este artículo pretende estudiar la evolución de las propuestas de reforma urbana planteadas en este primer Plan Urbanístico de Murcia y su repercusión en la ciudad de forma directa o mediante la incorporación en proyectos posteriores. [ENG] The first Urban Planning of Murcia was developed with a dual aim: resolving the problem of the arrangement and alignment of new buildings and solve the problem of the lack of sewerage system. That caused high rates of mortality population. The project was drafted by the engineer and architect Pedro Garcia Faria in 1896 under hygienists premises. This article aims to study the evolution of urban reform proposals raised in this first Urban Planning of Murcia and its impact on the city both directly or by its incorporation into several subsequent projects.
