Aspectos fundamentales de los sistemas MIMO

Abstract

Este artículo realiza una introducción a los sistemas MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output). Estos sistemas son capaces de aumentar la eficiencia espectral utilizando múltiples antenas tanto en transmisión como en recepción. El aumento de la capacidad viene determinado por el tipo de entorno de propagación, por lo tanto es importante realizar medidas experimentales del canal con el fin de observar en que entornos es propicio el uso de dichos sistemas. Por último, se muestra el sistema de medidas desarrollado por el grupo de investigación SiCoMo, así como parte de los resultados de una campaña de medidas realizada en un túnel peatonal dentro del Campus Muralla del Mar de la UPCT.
