Estudios de las variaciones del nivel del mar frente a La Manga del Mar Menor en el SE español

Abstract

El intercambio de agua entre el Mar Menor y el Mediterráneo esta forzado por las diferencias de nivel del mar entre ambos. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo estudiar las variaciones del nivel del mar a lo largo de la costa mediterránea de La Manga. Los datos analizados muestran una dominancia del efecto de barómetro invertido sobre las mareas, alcanzando gran importancia el efecto del viento bajo ciertas condiciones de dirección e intensidad. Las variaciones de nivel del mar no presentan un comportamiento espacial homogéneo, con diferencias de 20 cm entre los agrupados al norte de El Estacio y los fondeados al sir de este y una amplitud máxima de 0.81 m.
