[ENG] This master’s Thesis focuses on how the gender perspective influences occupational risk prevention in the healthcare sector — a highly feminized field where, in many cases, preventive policies still respond to a standard malecentered model. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines institutional document analysis with data collection through surveys, the study identifies significant shortcomings in how prevention measures are applied from a gender-equal standpoint. The empirical part of the study was carried out with the participation of 60 healthcare professionals from two hospitals in the Region of Murcia — one public and one private. Their responses reveal inequalities that especially affect women, such as the poor adaptation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), the lack or absence of protocols for pregnancy and breastfeeding and increased psychosocial strain due to the double workload and lack of work-life balance. Based on these findings, the study proposes several measures to move toward fairer and more effective prevention: redesigning PPE with an ergonomic approach tailored to women, real implementation of specific protocols, improved coordination between equality plans and occupational risk prevention strategies, and training that integrates gender as a key dimension. The thesis concludes by emphasizing the need for more sensitive and inclusive preventive policies that reflect the realities of healthcare personnel and promote safer and more equitable work environments.
