Abstract

[ENG] Cartagena has faced diffi culties in obtaining water since ancient times, which has motivated the construction of various infrastructures to mitigate this problem. One of these infrastructures is the Monte Sacro water reservoir, located in the historic center of Cartagena, which contributed to the city’s water supply from 1896 to 1940. However, there is little documented information about this building. This study proposes to conduct an appraisal of the reservoir through the development of an initial historical context, followed by a detailed architectural analysis and a graphic survey using photogrammetry. Additionally, a technical analysis of the tank’s pathologies will be conducted to understand its current condition. It is hoped that this work will support the conservation of the reservoir and promote its historical and cultural recognition.
