Abstract

El libro recoge un estudio sobre un tema a destacar en la vivienda contemporánea, como es el de la protección que deben recibir las fachadas respecto a la incidencia directa del sol. Es un concepto bastante estudiado a lo largo del siglo pasado y la publicación recoge 30 edificios importantes en la arquitectura española, empezando por la casa Calvet del Antonio Gaudí, pasando por interesantes edificios de los arquitectos Jose Antonio Coderch, Antonio Bonet Castellana, Francesc Mitjans, Oriol Bohigas, Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra, Elías Torres/José Antonio Martínez Lapeña, Iñaki Ábalos/Juan Herreros y Carlos Ferrater. Todos los edificios se muestran en una doble página. En la de la izquierda, se han redibujado la planta general del bloque y el alzado a escala 1:150 o 1:200. Y en la de la derecha se dibuja una axonometría, una planta del detalle de la terraza-filtro, el alzado y una sección, todo representado a escala 1:100.
