Diseño y generación de engranajes cilíndricos con dentadura curvilínea

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se describe la geometría y el método de generación virtual de dos versiones de transmisiones de engranajes cilíndricos de dentadura curvilínea, comúnmente conocidos como engranajes curvilíneos. Ambas geometrías se caracterizan por poseer contacto localizado y por ser mecanizadas a través de fresa frontal circular. Asimismo, las dos versiones propuestas son comparadas entre sí y frente a transmisiones de engranajes cilíndricos clásicas, con objeto de confirmar las ventajas y desventajas del empleo de las primeras frente a las últimas desde el punto de vista mecánico. Para tal fin, se han utilizado algoritmos de simulación del engrane y de análisis del contacto, y se ha hecho uso del método de los elementos finitos, con el propósito de llevar a cabo el análisis tensional de las transmisiones de engranajes cilíndricos.
