Abstract

The aims of this work were verify prevalence of Shoulder Pain and the functional state of the shoulder in patients after the stroke. For this study was used the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI). The prevalence of Shoulder Pain is 43, 4%, bigger intensity of Pain and the worst levels of functionality of the shoulder and the precocity of the treatment. We concluded that as soon as the physiotherapy treatment started after the stroke, the intensity of the pain was lower and the levels of functionality were better.
