Abstract

Objetivo: São inúmeros os estudos na literatura que procuram clarificar quais as técnicas adesivas existentes e que vantagens apresentam em contexto clínico. Contudo, a escolha do adesivo é ainda um processo complexo, sendo que o objetivo deste trabalho visa dar a conhecer os adesivos de autocondicionamento self-etch. Metodologia: Realizou-se uma revisão literária com recurso as bases de dados informáticas como Pubmed, B-on, Scielo e Medline, onde foram incluídos artigos de revisão e meta-análises, bem como artigos de relevância para o tema. Descrição do tema: Os sistemas de autocondicionamento também conhecidos como selfetch surgiram há cerca de 20 anos, como um conceito mais simplista e capaz de ultrapassar as dificuldades dos sistemas convencionais etch-and-rinse. Podem ter várias formas de apresentação e aplicação, produzindo diferentes resultados quando aplicados em esmalte ou dentina.
