As técnicas de elevação do seio maxilar

Abstract

Esta tese apresenta as diferentes técnicas de elevação do seio maxilar, tendo como fator diferenciado as vias de acesso: via lateral e via cristal. O objetivo é de apresentar as características e métodos de cada técnica, para determinar a utilização clínica. Avaliaremos as diferentes técnicas para o melhor crescimento da altura óssea. O sujeito é importante porque a população envelhece e, a altura da crista óssea diminui com a idade e como consequência das extrações. O objetivo destas técnicas é o de prevenir a utilização de prótese removível, incrementar o crescimento da altura óssea e, assim, utilizar os implantes como fonte reabilitadora. A técnica de elevação do seio tem grande importância na colocação de um implante. A perda de dentes é traumática para os pacientes e a colocação de um implante vai melhorar sua vida do ponto de vista estético e funcional. Contudo, o paciente tem de perceber a importância e os riscos da intervenção cirúrgica. Quando pretendemos colocar um implante, será importante ter uma altura óssea suficiente para a estabilização primária do implante.
