Crescimento, decrescimento sustentável e desenvolvimento ecologicamente sustentável

Abstract

This article refers to a communication presented in the congress luso-afro-brazilian of social sciences, happened in luanda on the 28th, 29th and 30th of november of 2006, under the subject “dynamic, changes and development in century XXi”. in the last years, the speech of the occidental philosophy seems to be each time more consensual in the intention to exceed the Newtonian mechanical paradigm through a new ecologized thought. a new paradigmatic, scientific and experimental coherence thus emerges. This ecologized thought gains each time more relevancy. then, what it is about to change? concerned with this main question, the article relates and compares concepts as “economic growth”, “sustainable ungrowth” and “ecological sustainable development”, as well as it aims to understand the recent theoretical contributions on this field within the outlines of this emerging paradigm. finally, they are presented some exemplary experiences as a base for reflection of the boarded subjects.
