A técnica de Hall em odontopediatria

Abstract

Objetivo: Compreender técnica de Hall, desde a sua história até à sua aplicabilidade, assim como, comparar as taxas de sucesso com outros tratamentos de lesão de cárie, através de uma revisão bibliográfica. Métodos: Pesquisa bibliográfica realizada nas bases de dados Pubmed/Medline, Cochrane Library e B-on sem limitação temporal, de artigos publicados em Inglês e Português. Descrição do tema: A abordagem biológica da lesão da cárie leva ao aparecimento de tratamentos não convencionais, cujo o objetivo é ser menos invasivo. A técnica de Hall, apoia-se sobre uma abordagem biológica da lesão de cárie dentária, cujo o principio é a colocação de uma coroa metálica pré-formada sem que haja uma preparação prévia do dente, sem o recurso à anestesia e sem a remoção da lesão de cárie.
