A importância do agenda-setting no jornalismo desportivo: futebol feminino vs futebol masculino

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Agenda-Setting theory applied to sports journalism, focusing on the differences in the journalistic coverage of women’s and men’s football during April 2025. Based on the content published on the website ZeroZero.pt, it seeks to demonstrate how the media select and prioritize topics, which influences not only how the audience receives and interprets the news but also how they perceive the world. To this end, the work is divided into three parts: theoretical framework, presenting the main authors of the theory and its evolution; content analysis, based on concrete examples; and, finally, the presentation of the results.
