Sensibilidade dos microorganismos colagenolíticos à solução de clorhexidina: revisão integrativa da literatura

Abstract

Objetivo: Avaliar a suscetibilidade dos microorganismos colagenolíticos na presença/ou ausência de clorhexidina (CHX). Metodologia: Pesquisa bibliográfica nas bases de dados PubMed, B-on, ScienceDirect e Cochrane Library. Para garantir a qualidade e consistência da seleção dos artigos, foi seguido o protocolo PRISMA, tendo sido estipulados critérios específicos de inclusão e exclusão. A avaliação metodológica foi realizada através da Escala de QUIN. Resultados: De 1227 artigos identificados, 8 foram incluídos. Identificaram-se limitações relacionadas com a heterogeneidade dos estudos em termos de métodos, tempos de exposição e concentrações, o que dificulta a comparação direta e a síntese de resultados. Conclusão: Existe relação entre a degradação de colagénio e os microorganismos presentes na doença periodontal. A CHX é eficaz a inibir e/ou eliminar esses agentes. Futuros estudos in vitro sobre o tema, devem ser padronizados, com variáveis controladas e espécies bacterianas bem documentadas.
