Análise das técnicas fisioterapêuticas utilizadas no tratamento da espasticidade

Abstract

Objetivo: Demonstrar quais as diferentes intervenções fisioterapêuticas, efetuadas em doentes neurológicos adultos, no tratamento da espasticidade. Metodologia: Foi efetuada uma pesquisa bibliográfica através de livros e da Internet, nomeadamente nas bases de dados Pubmed/Medline , PEDro e B onon, temporalmente limitada a 10 anos, sendo selecionados estudos de revisão bibliográfica, ensaios clínicos, estudos controlados randomizados e não-randomizados e revistas científicas, que abordem o conceito de espasticidade e tratamento fisioterapêutico no tratamento da mesma. Resultados: Após a pesquisa efetuada nas bases de dados ele trónicas, foram identificados nove artigos de revisão bibliográfica, quatro ensaios clínicos, três estudos randomizados controlados e três revistas científicas online. Na pesquisa de livros, foram encontrados três úteis para a realização desta revisão Conclusões: Esta revisão mostrou que um grande número de estudos que lidam com a reabilitação fisioterapêutica estão disponíveis e têm mostrado bons resultados.
