O tema desta monografia incidirá numa revisão bibliográfica sobre Enxertos Ósseos Autólogos na reabilitação de maxilas atróficas. A reabilitação oral, por necessidade de recuperação da forma e função perdida patologicamente, ou por traumatismos, são condicionadas pela presença ou ausência de osso. A regeneração óssea é um tema bastante actual que tem sido alargado à Medicina Dentária. Assim, este trabalho pretende pesquisar e esclarecer alguns pontos como definição e considerações anatómicas necessárias à realização de enxertos ósseos autólogos. Tanto as vantagens como desvantagens foram salientadas, não esquecendo as taxas de êxito publicadas pelos diversos autores. Após a revisão bibliográfica irá ser possível responder em grande parte às dúvidas propostas no início do trabalho. Por tudo isto, desde que haja um correcto diagnóstico e adequado plano de tratamento, esta técnica parece ser possível de realizar no consultório de Medicina Dentária. The present paper had a goal to make a literature review about the autologous bone on the rehabilitation of edentulous jaws. The oral rehabilitation and the need to restore the form and fuction lost due to pathology or trauma are conditioned by the presence or lack of bone. The bone regeneration is a sufficiently current subject that had been widened to the Dental Medicine estimating the healing of all lost functions. So, this work intends to search and to clarify some points as necessary and anatomic considerations to the accomplishment of autologous bone graft. As much the advantages as disadvantages had been pointed out not forgetting the taxes of success published by the diverse authors. After the literature review will go to be possible to answer a large extent of doubts proposals at the beginning of the work. For everything, since that it has one right diagnostic and adjusted plain of treatment this technique seems to be possible to carry through in the doctor´s office of Dental Medicine.
