Efeito do tempo de alongamento na flexibilidade dos isquiotibais

Abstract

Introdução: Para que o alongamento seja eficaz, este irá depender de vários factores, sendo eles a duração, frequência e número de repetições. No entanto, não existe na literatura, concordância quanto ao tempo de alongamento mais eficaz. Objetivo: verificar o efeito dos diferentes tempos de alongamento na flexibilidade e limiar de sensibilidade à dor (LSD) dos isquiotibais. Metodologia: Foram divididos 21 indivíduos aleatoriamente por 3 grupos: grupo de controlo (G.C), grupos exerimentais 4 séries de 1 repetição de 30s (A30) e 60s (A60s) durante 4 semanas. Foi utilizado para avaliação da flexibildiade dos isquiotibiais o 90/90 Flexibility Test e o LSD, por algometria. Resultados: Existem aumentos na flexibilidade do grupo A60 face ao G.C e existem diferença na flexibilidade e LSD entre o G.C e os grupos A30 e A60 entre o membro dominante e não-dominante. Conclusão: Apenas o alongamento de 60s resultou num aumento da flexibilidade e existem diferenças na flexibilidade e LSD com o alongamento de 30 e 60s quando comparado o membro dominante e não-dominante.
