Uso de materiais retro-obturadores na microcirurgia endodôntica: revisão narrativa

Abstract

O objetivo desta revisão é explicar o que é a microcirurgia endodôntica e apresentar os diferentes materiais retro-obturadores, a fim de identificar as suas propriedades necessárias para um tratamento bem-sucedido. Num primeiro passo, foi explicado quais as propriedades ideais para um material retro-obturador. De seguida, foi explicado quais os materiais que foram utilizados cronologicamente no passado e o porquê de terem sido substituídos. Foi claramente demonstrado que os biocerâmicos são os materiais que têm mais em comum com o material ideal. O Biodentine é o biocerâmico com os aspetos mais positivos e é, portanto, a melhor escolha para os Médicos Dentistas. Mas a escolha de eleição é sempre o Agregado de trióxido mineral.
