Il capitolo presenta la condizione delle varietà ladine nei loro processi di «ausbauizzazione»; la posizione degli idiomi viene discussa secondo linee interpretative che vanno dalla loro posizione nello spazio comunicativo delle comunità alla costruzione di varietà graficamente e linguisticamente definite, alla proposta di una eventuale lingua tetto unificata, alla discussione della produzione lessicografica in quanto motore della costruzione linguistica.

The chapter presents the condition of the Ladin varieties in their processes of "ausbauization"; the position of the idioms is discussed according to interpretative lines that go from their position in the communicative space of the communities to the construction of graphically and linguistically defined varieties, to the proposal of a possible unified roof language, to the discussion of lexicographic production as the engine of linguistic construction.
