"a sempre novos nascimentos". O nascimento múltiplo do nascimento da tragédia

Abstract

In Nietzsche research, the first edition of Nietzsche's "Birth of Tragedy" is almost unknown, since all later editions are based on the second and third editions, which, however, show significant changes. In the article, a precise philological comparison of the early editions is made with the help of the printing proof and hand copies. Above all, differences regarding Wagner's aesthetics are revealed, since in the first edition poetry was still accorded a much higher status.
