Abstract

Este artículo aborda una serie de estrategias de trabajo para instalar el cine nacional dentro de los medios, las instituciones educativas y la sociedad en general, para analizar temas como la diversidad cultural y el multiculturalismo, a través de las realizaciones locales y regionales, las estéticas y narrativas zonales y la producción de un cine plural. Profesionales de la comunicación y académicos (2010:1), reunidos en un congreso latinoamericano y caribeño realizado en Porto Alegre en febrero del 2010, reclamaron la construcción de una «ciudadanía comunicacional» que, en el marco de los procesos políticos y culturales, permita la participación creativa y protagónica de las personas como forma de eliminar la concentración de poder de cualquier tipo para, así, construir y consolidar nuevas democracias. La educación del siglo XXI deberá asumir también los derechos humanos, la comunicación, la cultura, la otredad, la incertidumbre, como temáticas a abordar en profundidad para ayudar en la construcción de un sujeto político y humano participativo y protagonista del tiempo que le toca vivir. También se proponen algunas acciones docentes concretas para el trabajo de la imagen fotográfi ca y audiovisual en el aula.
