
En el artículo se analiza el papel de las organizaciones económicas internacionales en la cooperación al desarrollo, destacándose la evolución del Banco Mundial desde los primeros años como Banco para la Reconstrucción hasta la actualidad. El Fondo Monetario Internacional también ha evolucionado desde el compromiso monetario hasta el compromiso actual con la reducción de la pobreza y la deuda externa. A la Unión Europea también se le incluye entre las agencias multilaterales de cooperación al desarrollo. Finalmente se hace un análisis de la crítica que están recibiendo los organismos económicos internacionales en el ámbito de la financiación al desarrollo. _____________________________________This paper analyses the evolution of the international economic organisations’ role in the development cooperation the world bank´s permanent and deep engagement with this task its. Later on is examined the European union road in this field the absence of any reference to development aid observed in the treatise of Rome till prominent position in the international efforts for development financing at present.
