Se presentan, en este texto, algunas reflexiones en torno a las aportaciones que se derivan del saber empírico (criminológico), el saber normativo (la dogmática penal) y la política criminal, como partes sustantivas del modelo integrado de ciencia penal frente a la tendencia político criminal denominada populismo penal, enfatizando la necesidad de una política criminal basada en evidencias.
