Abstract

This article contextualizes new war´s conceptions applied in South American territory, addresses how dynamic´s implementation are carried out by the Hybrid War´s phases, which have specifics operational matrix, executed from the regional hegemony. The hybrid conflict is implemented in South America, based on what is called “gray zone” in military matters, that ambiguous space / time between peace and war, does not reach direct armed conflict, but which operates in a multimodal methods, with regular and irregular actors. In addition, this paper analyze another irregular actors, who defend positions and control over disputed territories, that in military operational contexts are referred like "hybrid threats". In conclusion, the Hybrid War is devised based on new conceptions of the contemporary conflicts, and based on this, a kind of security complex is implemented between regional hegemony and its allies
