As a starting point of this article, we understand the conceptualization of intellectual disability proposed by AAIDD (2010) - American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities – from the multidimensional approach, in which one of the highlighted fields is the influence of context and the possibilities of involvement in the development of a person’ skills. As a consequence, the use of an emotional education in the classroom will allow all those students, who want to improve in the development of their emotional competences, to strengthen. The concept of R. Bisquerra, president of RIEEB (Red Internacional de Educación Emocional y Bienestar) – International Network of Emotional Education and Wellbeing (INEEW) –, are used as a guide to be considered in the planning and the execution of lessons, which are conducted as a tool to improve the environment of the class.
