Una hoja ignimbrítica interlaminada en depósitos continentales paleogénicos (¿Oligo-Mioceno?) en la sierra norte de Mallorca está formada por riolitas y riolitas ricas en potasio, con un presunto origen calco-alcalino. Esta actividad volcánica es interpretada en un marco del margen activo con desarrollo de cuencas marginales durante el Terciario en el oeste mediterráneo, según los modelos preestablecidos.
An ignimbritic sheet interlayered in Paleogene (Oligo-Miocene?) continental deposits in the Northern Ranges of Majorca is made up of rhyolites and K-rich rhyolites, of presumed calc-alkaline origin.
