El basamento mesozoico de la cuenca terciaria de Los Llanos de Albacete muestra una cuadrícula de fracturas con dos principales orientaciones, casi ortogonales: la orientación NE-SO es la preferente, causando que el basamento se divida en varios bloques, limitado por fallas lístricas y dividido en estructuras más pequeñas inclinadas al NE. El relleno neógeno de la cuenca no se ve afectado por estas fallas. Los resultados se han obtenido mediante el estudio de varios pozos.
The Mesozoic basement of Los Llanos de Albacete Tertiary Basin shows a fracture grid with two main orientations, almost orthogonal: NE-SW orientation is preferential, causing the basement to be divided in several blocks, limited by lystric faults and divided in smaller structures tilted to the NE. The Neogene filling of the basin is not affected by these faults. The results have been obtained during the study of several wells
