Several depositional sequences have been distinguished in the Eocene of the eastern Pyrenees in the sense of Mitchum et al. (1977). A general scheme of the basin is shown in figure 2. Eocene sediments and erosive unconformities between them are represented in this figure. We point out that the material forming the base of the sequences is resedimentated from the underlying sequences, giving olisthostromic bodies, carbonate megaturbidites or siliciclastic turbidites
Se distinguen varias secuencias deposicionales del Eoceno del Pirineo oriental, como indican Mitchum et al. (1977). Se muestra un esquema general de la cuenca en la figura 2. Los sedimentos y las discordancias erosivas del Eoceno se representan en esta figura. Señalamos que el material que forma la base de las secuencias es resedimentado por las secuencias subyacentes, aportando cuerpos olistostrómicos, megaturbiditas carbonatadas o turbiditas siliciclásticas.
