Abstract

La convergencia digital promete un acceso universal a la información, espacios de interacción comunicativa y realizar tareas propias de otros ámbitos. Esta investigación se centra en las aplicaciones móviles, como exponente de la convergencia digital. Se analizan para ello las de las principales empresas de franquicia del sector fast food por ser su público mayoritario (jóvenes), los principales usuarios de estos dispositivos. La metodología combina la revisión bibliográfica con un análisis descriptivo. Los resultados revelan una infrautilización de las posibilidades de los smartphones y en consecuencia una escasa innovación en la comunicación a través de las apps. Del mismo modo se concluye la falta de aprovechamiento por parte de las marcas de las tendencias sociales relacionadas con su actividad principal.

Digital convergence promises universal access to information, new spaces of communicative interaction and performing tasks typical of other areas. This research focuses on mobile applications such as exponent of this digital convergence. We analyze a sample of young segment as consumers of leading franchise companies in the fast-food sector, because the young people are the main users of these devices. The methodology combines the bibliographic review with a descriptive analysis. The results reveal an underutilization of the possibilities of the smartphones and consequently a little innovation in the communication through the. In the same way it concludes the lack of use by the brands of the social tendencies related to their main activity.
