Segmentación del turismo cultural : el turismo cinematográfico de festivales

Abstract

El turismo cultural y, dentro de éste, el turismo cinematográfico, están adquiriendo especial importancia en las últimas décadas, tanto desde el punto de vista cuantitativo como cualitativo, a la hora de aumentar la calidad y la competitividad de los destinos turísticos que segmenten y desarrollen tales tipologías de turismos. En esta línea, en la presente comunicación profundizamos, en primer lugar, en los conceptos de turismo cultural y de turismo cinematográfico, analizando los diferentes segmentos que integran cada una de estas tipologías de turismos. Posteriormente, analizamos las principales características de la demanda de turismo cinematográfico para, en el último apartado, centrarnos en el análisis de la demanda de turismo cinematográfico de festivales, prestando especial atención al Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva, cuya demanda se analiza a partir de una encuesta estructurada que se le pasó a los asistentes de la 36ª Edición. Llegamos a la conclusión que las características genéricas de esta demanda se corresponden, en parte, con las recogidas en la bibliografía, encontrándose algunas características específicas y propias de la misma.
