Evolución de la geometría de la interfase agua dulce-agua de mar en un acuífero costero sometido a un intenso bombeo de agua de mar

Abstract

Ha sido estudiada la evolución de la geometría de la interfase agua dulce-agua de mar en el acuífero detrítico costero del delta del río Andarax (Almería). En éste, 19 sondeos de extracción de agua de mar por debajo de la interfase abastecen a una planta desaladora. Antes de comenzar los bombeos, la interfase presentaba una geometría característica de este tipo de ambiente, si bien una vez comenzado el bombeo la geometría cambió notablemente produciéndose una dulcificación generalizada aguas arriba de estos sondeos. Estos resultados evidencian la validez de las captaciones de agua de mar en acuíferos costeros como barreras para evitar la intrusión marina
