The first caprinae remains found in the Sierra de Atapuerca are described herein. The scarce material comes from the Galería deposit (TC) in the Trinchera del Ferrocarril of Atapuerca (Burgos), of middle Pleistocene age. Despite the few remains recovered, the comparisons with other European lower and middle Pleistocene Caprinae, also scarce, let no doubts about their taxonomic identification as Capra sp.
