
On June 22, 1984, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published a notice entitled Occupational Exposure to Ethylene Oxide: Final Standard (49 FR 25734) in the Federal Register. This issue's Perspective column examines the contents of the standard, reviews ongoing activities within OSHA and other government agencies regarding EtO and discusses the importance of the standard to all EtO users, both in industry and in hospitals.
